About Me
My path into product started at UC San Diego, where I earned a BA in Economics with a minor in Business Administration and worked as a research assistant at the Atkinson behavioral research lab. The research itself was interesting, but what really drew me in was taking those scattered findings and turning them into something impactful. At the lab, we were tasked with lots of scattered manual work, and I felt this overwhelming drive to improve it for the future cohort of researchers. I developed standardized documents and approaches to improve the process of the labs research. That was the first real sign I was headed toward product. I cared more about building things people rely on than measuring them.
After graduation I earned the Google Professional Data Analytics Certificate and got comfortable with SQL, Tableau, and R. However, analysis by itself only felt like half the job to me. I could diagnose the problem fine, I just wanted to be the one who fixed it. That pull is what moved me into product and brought me to Innovatus Technology Consulting, where I've led engineering and design teams as a Product Manager for the past 3 years.
As a PM I own products across the full lifecycle, from early discovery to launch. I engineer the requirements, lead User Acceptance Testing, and manage stakeholder expectations so an idea keeps moving from the first conversation to a product people rely on. Over that stretch I've shipped more than 40 enterprise products, and it has saved clients somewhere around $150,000 a year. One particular product I owned from concept to launch was the IT Help Desk and Ticketing System, where I successfully centralized all IT ticketing service requests and tracking into one product that served more than 5,000 users.
My goal as a product manager is to always take on the challenging user pain points and turn them into maintainable, high quality products that have a measurable impact on the world. If I can't measure whether it worked, I'm not done. I love to challenge myself and am constantly identifying opportunities to improve, and have even earned the Project Management Professional certification to build an even stronger foundation in product beyond just my work experience.
